How Can I Help?

How Can I Help?

Thank you for your interest in supporting ancient earthworks conservation! Please spread the word about the value of these Native American engineering marvels. Few people, even in southern Ohio, are aware of their existence, let alone their plight.

Donating

The Heartland Earthworks Conservancy (HEC) is a qualified 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit public charity, so donations to it are tax-deductible. Since all HEC staff are volunteers, all donations to HEC go toward its mission and operations. HEC can receive donations directly or through two other non-profit organizations that specialize in assisting other public charities.  “Just Give” and “The Dayton Foundation” transfer your donation to HEC. They will send you a tax receipt so you will be able to deduct the donation on your income tax return. This and other free services provided by The Dayton Foundation and Just Give allow our staff to focus on our earthwork preservation endeavors.
